You must have a NetID to access online library resources from off campus.

Only current MSU associates and affiliates are eligible for NetID assignments; this service does not extend to patrons with community borrowing cards. NetIDs are a University wide personnel-asset, and as such the Library does not control nor administer their creation or assignment.

Graduates of MSU have remote access to a growing number of licensed library resources; these must be accessed through the Licensed Library Resources for Alumni page.

If you think you might be an affiliate, more information on non-employee appointments (affiliates) is available through MSU's Human Resources Department. If this situation applies to you, a Request for Approval of Non-employee Appointment Form will need to be submitted. Human Resources is responsible for the processes that will generate your NetID and allow you to access online Library resources remotely.
