Effective January 26, 2025, users with no affiliation to Montana State University since April 20, 2022 must reset their password and register for Duo Security to access MSU services. If affected, you'll see a 'The password you entered was incorrect' message upon attempting to login.

Reset your password at MSU Password Reset
To recover your NetID, use NetID Recovery
After resetting your password, register for Duo Security, MSU’s multi-factor authentication app. Duo Security will be required for future access
